Rural Electrification and Charging Technology (REACT) Program

When it comes to cost effectiveness, electricity beats diesel. Cover 25-100% of the cost of chargers, installation, and management software with California’s REACT program and reduce your ongoing power costs by 10-15%!

The REACT program helps businesses and consumers transition to electric equipment and vehicles by further lowering the cost of deploying Monarch’s MK-V electric tractors and other EVs through charging when the power is least expensive.

3 MK-V Tractors

Maximize Charging & Energy Savings

Integrating electric tractors into your operations can raise questions about the cost to install an EV charging station, charging infrastructure, and energy management. Monarch Tractor, along with our REACT team consortium members, offers tailored solutions.

The REACT team consists of:

Monarch Tractor

Manufacturer of the MK-V. Built in the U.S.A. the MK-V is world’s first 100% electric, driver-optional, and smart tractor

Gridtractor

Agricultural charging services provider and developer of a cloud-based charge management system

Valley Clean Energy (VCE)

Community Choice Aggregator (CCA) in Yolo County

Monarch MK-V Charging

REACT Solutions

By assessing your utility data, the REACT team can identify the most efficient charging options for your electric machinery, providing guidance and managing everything from enrollment to incentive payout.

Smart Charging Technology

Our smart charging solutions help you manage energy costs effectively. Combining smart charging with the right utility rates or programs can reduce power costs by 10-15%.

Exporting Power to the Grid

Certain charger technologies allow for exporting power back to the grid, which can reduce your overall power costs by up to 40%.

Mobile Power Wall

In addition to being an electric tractor, the MK-V is engineered to be a mobile power wall. Charge your MK-V during the period with the lowest rates are offered, then use that lower cost energy to power other machinery or work the fields.

Eligibility

Rural businesses in the Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E) and Southern California Edison (SCE) service territories that have purchased, are planning to buy, or want to enhance the value of their electric tractors and/or other vehicles.

Power Up Today!

To determine eligibility for incentives and the best utility program fit, the REACT team needs to understand your electrical infrastructure and tractor fleet (electric and diesel). Start by entering basic utility data and answering a few questions.

Once you log in, select Gridtractor from the list and follow the instructions. If you need assistance contact Gridtractor at 530-444-1238 or email info@gridtractor.com.

Frequently asked questions

REACT is funded under a grant from the California Energy Commission (CEC) and accesses additional funding from electrical utilities authorized by the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC).

Depending on your location(s), fleet, and ability to respond to the signals, you may participate in one of several programs offered by PG&E and SCE. The REACT team manages everything from enrollment to incentive applications and getting incentives paid.
