Today, TIME reveals its annual list of the Best Inventions of 2023, which features 200 extraordinary innovations changing our lives. Monarch Tractor is honored and excited to be included on this list of creative visionaries and problem-solvers whose ideas, dedication, and hard work are influencing how we live.
To compile the list, TIME solicits nominations from its editors and correspondents around the world, and through an online application process, paying special attention to growing fields — such as artificial intelligence (AI), green energy, and sustainability. TIME then evaluates each contender on a number of key factors including originality, efficacy, ambition, and impact. Inclusion on this list underscores Monarch’s vision to help as many farmers as possible across the globe become more profitable by employing practices that are healthier for their farms, consumers, and the planet.
Of the 2023 list, TIME’s editors write, “The result is a list of 200 groundbreaking inventions (and 50 special mention inventions) — including the world’s most powerful supercomputer, a game-changing entertainment venue, and a new shape — that are changing how we live, work, play, and think about what’s possible.”
For more than 20 years, TIME editors have highlighted what they felt were the 100 most impactful new products and ideas. According to TIME, the Best Inventions list began in 2022 out of recognition of a rapidly shifting world where innovation boomed. Last year’s list included life-mapping AI, diamonds made from excess carbon in the air, and the most powerful telescope.
