For two days in January, top precision farming equipment dealerships across North America gathered in Louisville, Kentucky, taking advantage of a prime opportunity to learn and network with their peers and industry experts at the 2025 Precision Farming Dealer Summit. Monarch’s lead test technician, John Isaacson, was at this dealer-only event, leading a presentation on the MK-V and the opportunity it represents for farmers, and by extension, dealers.
Focus on Dealers
Monarch’s dealership network is rapidly expanding with coast-to-coast locations in the U.S. and Canada. At the same time, Monarch’s industry-first accomplishments have positioned it as a leading manufacturer in the ag robotics space.
With his extensive front-line, boots-on-the-ground experience with the MK-V, John Isaacson, lead test technician at Monarch Tractor, understands what dealers want from a tractor manufacturer to meet their customers’ needs and be positioned for success. During the Summit, dealers were eager to learn more about the innovative MK-V tractor, the world’s first 100% electric, driver-optional, and smart tractor, and if it could help them achieve a more profitable precision farming business. Isaacson’s presentation gave them the details they wanted.
Monarch's Story
Isaacson’s presentation was equal parts introduction to a precision product and Monarch’s backstory of inspiration in addressing agriculture’s formidable challenges; achieving profitability and safeguarding the future against the headwinds of labor shortages and a difficult economic climate.
Being the stewards of our land and being in agriculture, we’ve got to put this [farmed lands] in a better place than how we found it.
John Isaacson, Lead Test Technician, Monarch Tractor

To consider an EV tractor, farmers and land managers want assurance that it’s mechanically safe and elevates performance beyond what a conventional diesel tractor provides. Recognizing that electric tractor battery safety and efficiency is a top-of-mind concern for many customers, Isaacson addressed how Monarch engineered an industry-leading battery management system. He also provided an overview of the MK-V as a digital platform that collects information for improved, data-driven decision-making, and how the tractor’s smart screen acts as a timecard, helping managers keep track of their workers’ time in the tractor seat.
Another highlight addressed horsepower and torque. The MK-V is rated for its ability to deliver 40 horsepower to the PTO continuously. An additional 30 HP is available when the tractor needs it for the drive and hydraulic systems, effectively making the MK-V a 70 HP tractor when needed. Paired with diesel savings and superior torque of a battery-powered tractor, the MK-V makes sense.

When you experience that torque, that power, and that productivity and you see what it costs you, when you can put money in your billfold, that’s when you know you’re doing the right thing.

Discussions around autonomy including Row Follow and Monarch® Autodrive™, which has recently been released for outdoor dairies, also garnered attention as being viable solutions for labor challenges and increasing profitability as well as operational precision and consistency.
Bridging Today with Tomorrow
Understanding that dealers field questions from farmers who sometimes believe that an innovative new tractor requires special implements, Isaacson emphasized that the MK-V is compatible with a farm’s current ecosystem of machinery. At the same time, the MK-V is designed for future developments, ensuring farmers are ready to take advantage of newer efficiencies and money-saving features. Engineered with connectivity, the MK-V continues to improve even after the point of purchase through its software and firmware updates.
Dealers play a critical role in helping farmers get the machinery they need. With Monarch, dealers are now empowered to connect and support farmers and land managers with a tractor that both meets and bridges the demands of today and tomorrow.
