MK-V Electric Tractor Showcased at Bologna & Bordeaux Ag Shows

Monarch Tractor, the leading electric, autonomous, and data-driven off-road manufacturer in the specialty and compact tractor market just wrapped up its second year of attending high-profile European ag shows. This time in Bologna, Italy and Bordeaux, France. The shows gave European farmers a chance to meet the MK-V face-to-face, ask questions, and learn more how the MK-V can help them overcome many of the same agricultural challenges that face their U.S. colleagues.

Last year we had small and simple booths, this year both EIMA and Vinitech were twice as big with a great layout. More space, more tractors, and great location of the booths generated an increased number of visitors! It was the first time that the tractor was presented in Italy.

EIMA International

From November 10 - 14, 2024, nearly 147,000 visitors roamed the International Agricultural and Gardening Machinery Exhibition (EIMA) in Bologna, Italy. It marked a record-breaking attendance and Monarch’s team was there to introduce the MK-V to an eager group of European farmers.

Monarch joined the panoramic showcase of agricultural innovation, which for 2024, EIMA emphasized developments in automation as a technological solution positioned to help farmers overcome the challenges facing both agriculture and the environment. The MK-V combines electrification, machine learning, and data analysis to enhance operations and ROI by driving labor productivity, data-driven decision-making, and significant cost savings.

Vineyards are Monarch’s core base of early adopters, and as Monarch expands into Europe, farmers and vintners from around the world are eager to learn more about the MK-V as a vineyard tractor. Féjoz reports booth visitors from across Europe and from as far away as Australia, Uruguay, and even the U.S. They took full advantage of the opportunity to see the MK-V at Vinitech Sifel 2024 in Bordeaux, France from November 26-28 at the Parc des Exhibitions.

As a major player in the international wine market and the heart of France’s wine country, Bordeaux was the ideal location to host a global tradeshow for wine, arboriculture, and fruit and vegetable sectors. Vinitech provided a venue to address agriculture’s complex economic context and bring professionals together over issues while introducing promising innovations for the future, such as Monarch’s MK-V.

All farmers had great interest and enthusiasm over the MK-V and asked many questions to understand how it works and the features it offers. They were all excited to know it will be available in Europe soon.

The November shows capped off a successful summer dealer and farm tour that began with the collaboration and on-site testing of the MK-V between Colruyt Group, Wolfcarius, and Monarch Tractor in apple orchards and vineyards. Since Monarch’s MK-V entered the market, the smart, driver-optional, electric tractors have logged nearly 67,000 hours of usage, saved farmers nearly $1 million in fuel costs, and abated more than 2,000 tonnes of CO2e.
